Times have changed.
More people are working remotely, and most find themselves hopping between 2-3 devices each day.
Most copper-based networks are already struggling to keep up, even when you're on their fastest plan.
With more devices than ever, and more people to serve - your broadband's under a lot of pressure.
Your needs will continue to grow (8k high-definition streaming is coming soon!) - and you need a future-proof solution that can keep up, and give you the room to grow should you need it.
That's why we're bringing fibre optic cable directly into your home, known as Fibre to the Premise (FTTP).
This is how we're able to deliver speeds up to 900mbps+ while other well-known brands can't.
That's because other providers often take the fibre to a green cabinet down the road, and then patch that into your home via old copper cables, known as Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) - stopping you from getting all that full fibre broadband offers.
After thorough real-world testing, we found the best router for the job was the Icotera i4850, offering robust and reliable Wi-Fi 5 technology which outperformed early iterations of Wi-Fi 6 in providing total coverage for the home.
Fibre to the Premesis (FTTP) is what we commonly call 'full fibre' broadband. 'Full fibre' means that your home is linked directly to our infrastructure with fibre cable so you get the greatest speeds possible. This is better than 'Fibre to the cabinet' (FTTC) which means fibre cable from the network connects to a green box a few streets away from you - where old, speed limiting copper cable is then used to carry your broadband connection from the cabinet into your home; Copper wire then becomes a bottleneck for bandwidth and speed - you can avoid that now.
Our full fibre broadband is available to anyone who lives in our coverage areas. This areas are growing, so to find out if you're covered, and to see what packages are available, please enter your postcode into our broadband coverage checker. You should then see what services are live, and which fantastic deals you can order or pre-order.
Because the fibre cable comes directly into your home, you can get speeds up to, and beyond, 950 megabits per second. This means you can stream programmes in HD on more than 30 devices without any loss of quality, and you can download the latest games in minutes, instead of hours or days. Better still, our broadband is as fast at uploading files, as it is at downloading them - so if you're uploading videos to YouTube or sending big files to colleagues at work, it'll be done in a flash.
Right now, we offer speeds of 100mbps (BetterNet 100), 500mbps (BetterNet 500) and 900+mbps (BetterNet 1,000)
If you're in an area that's currently 'live' - you should be installed and up and running within 5-10 working days. If you're in an area where we're still building the network, you can pre-order your chosen package and as soon as the service goes live, our install team will contact you to arrange an install date.
None. None at all. We want you to try us out, and to recommend us to your friends and family - so we charge a fixed and fair monthly fee, and that's it. No hidden fees, and no nasty surprises.
In the majority of cases, we use existing telephone poles and underground ducts to get our full fibre cable to your property, so it's rare that we need to dig up a garden or driveway. But, if any special treatment is needed, we'll speak to you beforehand to make sure you're happy with any needed changes. We may need to drill a hole through your exterior wall to pass the fibre cable into your home, but if you're already with another provider like Virgin - we should be able to use the holes that have already been drilled.
